Tours of Warstone Lane Cemetery & Key Hill Cemetery

Cemetery Tours are the second Sunday in the month, January to November. None in December. Tours of Warstone Lane Cemetery start at 12 Noon (meet at Pitsford Street entrance). Tours of Key Hill Cemetery start at 2pm (meet at Icknield Street entrance by pillar gates). Price: £3.00 per person PER Cemetery. £5.00 per couple per cemetery. Children under 16 Free. Letterboxes of the Jewellery Quarter walking tour

The distinctive letterboxes of the Jewellery Quarter were forged in the Georgian era, as secure portals for precious metals and stones. Two hundred years later they remain an iconic detail of this unique industrial landscape. I want to share what I have learned about the Letterboxes, and the craftsmen who created everything from whistles to fabulous jewels and everything in-between. Our Relaxed experience is a factory tour which has been designed specifically for people on the Autistic Spectrum and their families, and suitable also for people with a learning disability or sensory and communication disorder. We have adapted the environment by reducing noise levels and making some of our machinery demonstrations optional rather than standard. Group sizes are also smaller and we provide a quiet room (which includes a lava lamp, gentle lighting and cushions) for those who need some space during the tour. Our…
